A day after Chris Cuomo went viral responding to Fredo taunts on the streets and attracted an assault from Donald Trump, one other CNN host is poised for the web drubbing from the Commander-in-Chief attributable to a lawsuit from an obvious non-fan of the WarnerMedia-owned outlet.
In a multi-damages in search of grievance filed August 11, Don Lemon is accused of assaulting plaintiff Dustin Hice in a Sag Harbor, NY, bar final summer season.
“Mr. Lemon, who was sporting a pair of shorts, sandals, and a t-shirt, put his hand down the entrance of his personal shorts, and vigorously rubbed his genitalia, eliminated his hand and shoved his index and center fingers into [Hice’s] moustache underneath [Hice’s] nostril,” the submitting for “emotional ache and struggling” claims. Lemon, who’s brazenly homosexual, is then stated to have requested a fairly pointed query about Hice’s sexuality because the TV host “continued to shove his fingers” on the plaintiff “with aggression and hostility.”
Whereas Lemon hasn’t commented straight, CNN made no qualms about calling BS on the entire thing, which after all is predicted to get a response from Trump and already has right-wing bloggers in a lather.
“The plaintiff on this lawsuit has beforehand displayed a sample of contempt for CNN on his social media accounts,” a spokesperson for the Jeff Zucker-run cable newser informed Deadline. “This declare follows his unsuccessful threats and calls for for an exorbitant sum of money from Don Lemon,” the outlet added. “Don categorically denies these claims and this matter doesn’t advantage any additional remark presently.”
Deadline has heard from sources near Lemon that there was an try previously two weeks to shake down Lemon for a $1.5 million payoff to cease a lawsuit being filed. Clearly no cash was paid by the UTA-repped CNN host to Hice or his facet, which is probably going why this swimsuit has come out now.
Whereas any social media presence by a Hice, an area bartender, appears to have been scrubbed from the Web, it does appear that on his now-retired Instagram account the plaintiff quoted “#Trump” in calling CNN “the house of the pretend information” — whereas he was touring CNN HQ in Atlanta.
There’s a risk Lemon will tackle the allegations tonight on his 7 PM PT airing present. There after all is an actual risk that Trump will lash out at Lemon tonight too, as he has previously and did right now over the Cuomo incident. An incident that even Trump’s greatest TV pal Sean Hannity thought was extraordinarily uncool and known as the person who lipped off to Cuomo a “jackass.”
